"Merry X-mas Cathouse - home of the ho-ho-hos!"
Prostitution, the worlds "oldest profession". Legal in the US till the early 1900's then forced into "shady practices" along with drugs and prohibition by the Womens Christian Temperence Union
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostitution.)
Those crazy Christians, always trying to legislate morality when in fact all they do is is cause so called "sins" to become hidden and violent compounding the problem.
You can not control the animal instinct of man with laws or religion...it just won't work. Sex is nature and you can't fight it so why not make it legal, regulate it and tax it? Seems like a no brainer to me!
In Nevada "brothels" are legal. The "girls" practice safe sex and have regular doctor visits there by curbing the spread of "STD's" The "Moonlight Bunny Ranch" is one such brothel and HBO did a series on them between 2005 and 2008 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathouse:_The_Series). I have seen many of the episodes and if my husband was going to seek a prostitute (which he better not if he wants to keep all his parts) I would hope he would go to a place like that.
Street prositutes are beaten, pimped, abused and often diseased, many are drug addicted as well. Wouldn't we be better off with safe , legal taxed brothels? America could surely use the tax dollars.
Why is prostitution illegal anyway? If a person can sell the use of their "body" as a maid or gardner, and a singer can sell her voice, a scientist can sell his mind, why can't the use of the "vagina" or "penis" be for sale? People don't say much these days if you "give it away", they just don't want you to profit from it.
I say take sex (prostitution) and drugs (pot) out of the hands of the dealers and pimps and you'll knock the feet out from under them!
